How To Be Saved |

Salvation is the greatest gift of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many times you have seen a sign or heard someone say “John 3:16”, which reads “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (KJV) This is great, and the essence of salvation, simply believe. Two other scriptures are equally important, also look to 1 John 1:9 and Romans 3:23. In 1 John 1:9 it states, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (KJV) In Romans 3:23 it reads, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (KJV) Salvation is that simple, believe that Jesus gave his life on a cross, and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins, for we all have sinned.
If you truly believe this, then say this prayer, from your seat, kneeling, however, and salvation is yours:
Lord, I come to you now, a sinner, to ask for your forgiveness. I know that your only Son, Jesus, died on the cross, so that I may live. I know that His blood was shed so that it may wash away my sins. I ask you to come into my heart, cleanse me of my sins, forgive as only you can. Thank you for grace and mercy, and for your sacrifice on the cross so that I may live. Guide my path so that I may follow you. Amen. |
